About Transcription
We arrange monolingual or translated transcription of audio from and into selected languages. Typical audio would be webinars, meetings, films, videos and interviews. We produce transcriptions that are verbatim (exactly as spoken) or intelligent verbatim (as spoken but excluding any obvious hesitation, fillers or repetition). We can also format the transcripts to include speaker names or time codes as required.
Tip: when planning your project, check if real time interpreting would be easier on your budget than translating the transcripts later.
About Subtitling
Subtitling makes a video available to another language audience without recreating it with new speakers. It is an alternative to a voiceover in another language and allows the speaker to listen to the original voices. Specially trained linguists produce subtitles to condense the message to match the time available within the image, give enough time for the reader to absorb the meaning, all whilst matching references to the image and action on screen. We can also offer monolingual captions including captions for deaf and hard of hearing audiences.
