Proofreading, editing and revision
About Proofreading, Editing and Revision
Revision or editing can be used whenever you think just a few changes, additions or deletions are needed in a text, for example when a document needs an annual update.
Proofreading will give extra peace of mind for important documents such as legal documents or those for publication, and correct minor grammatical, spelling, punctuation or formatting errors.
What we offer
Editing is a cost-effective way of making updates to previous document versions, perhaps in several languages. We can also check and edit an existing translation that has been provided by a non-native speaker or non-professional translator, for example a bilingual lawyer when a certified translation is needed.
We quote for these services by the hour rather than per word and agree the price with you at the outset.
Who this service is for
Corporations requiring annual updates to company documents, professionals or individuals verifying translations already provided, or businesspeople, keynote speakers, researchers or students who would like to check their work written in a foreign language.
How it works
- Send us the document for revision, editing or proofreading including:
a) a description of what the final version is required for.
b) the updates to be made, where known.
- We will calculate the time needed to complete the final version based on the extent of the changes and send you your quote.
- Where appropriate, we will send you a draft version with the changes tracked for your approval, and a final, clean version.
